Families Learning Together has a solution. We provide online materials, video explanations and demonstrations of each number skill in maths for years 1 to 6. Each unit has guidance sheets and extension activities that are easy to use. It is aligned to the 2014 curriculum.

Our programme has been endorsed by the charity National Numeracy. Sue Skyrme, their pedagogy expert, said
" I was excited when I looked through the FLT site as it is exactly what so many parents have been asking for. They often lack confidence with the 'new methods' used in Maths teaching and this provides clear guidance to the National Curriculum expectations, with video examples and useful tips. It also seeks to change attitudes to everyday maths which has been such a barrier to learning"
It couldn’t be simpler. Just let the parents and children know which unit to look at for 1-2 weeks. The parents will find all the help they need in the videos and guidance sheets in each specific unit. The Activity Sheets and Extension Activities ensure that children don’t just practice what they can do – they explore how they can apply their knowledge and skills in different ways.
Our website includes guidance on how to get started and encourage parents.

Families Learning Together does not require any marking by teachers, as we provide all the answers for the parents to work through at home alongside their child. The impact on children’s learning comes from the conversations as they play maths games and complete activities together.
